The 75th Anniversary Celebration

The League of Allied Arts Corporation will celebrate it’s 75th year as the oldest African American women’s organization in Los Angeles with the purpose of promoting the art, and providing scholarships to young aspiring artists in every genre.

The celebration will be held at the Luxe Hotel in Los Angeles, California, on Saturday, October 11th, 2014 beginning with a reception at 11:00 a.m. The celebration will include exciting performances by the 2014 scholarship winners, the recognition of prominent honorees who have given time and effort to promote the arts, and will feature a special tribute to Langston Hughes performed by Dr. Ron McCurdy, professor of music in the Thornton School of Music at USC , and artistic director of “The Langston Hughes Project”.
